STAT+: Biotech raising $35 million to take a second stab at cancer drug from Bert Vogelstein’s lab

A new biotech is raising money to develop a drug believed to be capable of starving cancer cells, based on research out of lauded cancer researcher Bert Vogelstein’s lab. The Boston-based company, Cage Pharma, has already received funding from Catalio Capital Management and hopes to raise up to $35 million in a Series A round, according to a person with knowledge of the company’s plans.
