General Comments: The NHC commends CMS for its efforts in revising the MPPP model documents to enhance clarity, accessibility, and beneficiary engagement. Additionally, to further enhance the effectiveness of the documents, we recommend the formal establishment of a feedback loop and periodic reviews.
It also ensures that all relevant information is readily accessible, enabling pharmacists to make informed decisions and provide personalised care. In traditional settings, communicating such critical information can take hours or even days. The quick communication loop keeps all healthcare team members informed promptly.
The discussion focused on CMS’ 2023 listening sessions during implementation of the first round of negotiations and identified lessons learned to inform future listening sessions and broader patient engagement strategies.
